Here are just a few limits that should never be crossed.

It's okay to pop in unannounced every once in a while -- who doesn't love a good surprise? -- but try not to make it a habit.

Everyone needs and deserves some personal space.

Guess what? Contrary to popular belief, your life does not revolve around else's.

If your friend can't get back at you at the moment, be patient -- they'll respond as soon as they can (and don't give them a guilt trip about the wait, either!).

Bonds differ from relationship to relationship, but it shouldn't be that hard to figure out if you're "besties" or boinking each other.

Try to dial the affection back, especially if you're not romantically involved with a friend.

We all fall down in life; it's part of the course -- but how many times can you screw up and expect someone else to help you?

Not only is it completely immature to expect your friend to clear up your mess, but keep in mind that they have their own issues, too. Learn to deal without assistance.

7. You run interference whenever you go out -- even when they don't need you to.

No one likes the dreaded "c" word -- no, not that one; although that one's really bad, too.

If your buddy is being harassed by some idiot (guy or girl), then sure; step into the situation and stay there until they separate. If not, let them have some fun!

Your friend should not have to worry about coming into close and unwanted contact with your naughty bits.

If you feel the need to undress, do it somewhere else away from their eyesight (and no, summer heat doesn't count -- you can be cool and still be properly covered).

Didn't your mother teach you that it was bad to steal?

Yes, that's exactly what you're doing if you "borrow" things without letting your buddy know about it first -- and that's not cute.

4. You make their significant other feel uncomfortable with your closeness.

This goes way further than random people getting the status of your relationship wrong.

If you're all lovey-dovey with your friend around their partner / lover / boo thang, that's disrespectful to the both of them. Reconfigure your actions and attitude stat, before you cause a massive issue.

I would tell people like this to get a dog in order to have a captive audience, but I wouldn't want any canines to be tortured.

If you're the type of person who needs to have eyes on you all of the time, look into a damn mirror and let your friend have some moments of peace from your selfishness.

2. You've shared personal stories about them with other people.

Unless you have permission to share a tale about one of their personal experiences to another person, do not; under any circumstances, do so.

Point, blank, period.

They say that you should marry someone who's your best friend as well as your lover, but some people take that thought way too literally.

You and your friend both deserve to find love, and if it just so happens that there's a true connection between you, so be it -- but don't force an endgame simply because you're afraid of being alone. That's not something you want in your life, trust me.
