Shawn Mendes just announced plans for his first ever world tour, in support of his debut album Handwritten, which was released last April. The Handwritten Tour will hit 38 stops across the world, starting off in New York City at Radio City Music Hall on March 5. After only one U.S. date in March, Mendes will head overseas for the first leg of the tour before returning to the states in July for an extensive amount of North American stops. Tickets for the Handwritten Tour are on sale now.
The secondary market is in high demand with tickets to see Shawn Mendes across the Handwritten Tour, with an average ticket price coming in at $165.67, according to the data found on TiqIQ. Tickets for the already sold out stop at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on March 5 can be found as low as $163. Over his 38 stops, some of the lowest get-in ticket prices include stops at the Pier Six Concert Pavilion in Baltimore, Maryland, for $56, the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, in St. Augustine, Florida for $50, and the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago, Illinois, which comes in at $62. You can plan ahead and find parking in Chicago before the event through ParkWhiz.Com, as well as many other cities across the Handwritten Tour route.
Shawn Mendes’s debut album Handwritten was released last April and shot right to the top of the Billboard Charts. Prior to the release, he embarked on a small headlining tour that only included three North American dates. His continued touring and album success secured him a spot on Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour, which recently wrapped up. Back in November, Mendes reissued his chart-topping album Handwritten, with Handwritten Revisited. The updated Revisited album includes new songs, all which fans will hear throughout the Handwritten Tour, and live recordings from his performance at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles last August.
Mendes is scheduled to wrap up his own massive headlining tour just weeks after his 18th birthday in his hometown of Toronto.
