The 2016 Firefly Music Festival will take place on Thursday, June 16, and will run through Sunday, June 19 at The Woodlands of Dover, Delaware. This year’s headlining performers include Kings of Leon, Deadmau5, Two Door Cinema, Florence + The Machine and Mumford & Sons. Four-day passes for Firefly are currently on sale now.
Firefly Music Festival has been rapidly growing over the last few years, and passes for the festival have been steadily rising in demand across the secondary market. According to the data provided by TiqIQ, passes are currently averaging $414, with the lowest get-in rate at $285. While camping is an option at this festival, hotels in Dover can be found on Hipmunk.com, with rates starting as low as $55. Flights on Hipmunk to and from Firefly can also be secured through most major airline carriers.
On Thursday, June 16, the four-day festival will kick off with headliner Two Door Cinema, and other acts such as Robert Delong and Oh Wonder will take the stage. Kings of Leon is scheduled for Friday. On Saturday, June 18, Florence + The Machine and Deadmau5 will take the headlining spot, along with sets from Ellie Goulding, Ludacris, Death Cab For Cutie and Fetty Wap. On Sunday, Mumford & Sons will close the festival, and there will be performances from Blink 182, Major Lazer and Earth, Wind & Fire.
Along with music, Firefly will offer a wide variety of other activities, including a brewery from Delaware’s own Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. A spot called The Coffee House will feature intimate performances as you recharge at their full service festival café. The Market will offer 10 different high-end shops, and The Beercade will have a wide variety of some of our favorite vintage arcade games, such as pinball, Skee ball and many more.
Other attractions (such as yoga classes, general stores for camping necessities, bars, food trucks and even more stages) will be set up just outside the festival grounds for an after-hours experience for all the campers in attendance.
